Amy's 21. That is somethin to celebrate. YIPPEEEEEE.....yup i'm excited. I am also kinda sleepy, but not really sleepy...just enough sleepiness to be delirious. LOL.... i think i'll go back to studying and such now. and I know that it is saturday night and that I am a total geek. Kisses to you all ;)

Today has been a long day, but I think I got everything I needed to get done done. I am incredibly tired, but I am happy now that everything seems to be in order with my classes and such. I am still sad about missing Steph's wedding. I am tired. Oh wait...I already said that. Yeah...it seems that I really don't have much to say. hmm. bye...

I am so tired. Today was a very busy day. Why am i so stressed already...school just started. News Flash: I hate school. No...I'm kidding. I think I just needed two more weeks vacation. Ah well... not much I can do there. I think I will just take mini-vacations in my mind. Does that sound nuts? Oh well... can't help how it sounds. All I know is that I gotta start meditating or something.

Amy and I had a great convo yesterday. No work for the nest week for me. I am so happy about that. I don't have to deal with guys coming into the store and buyin porn. The job would be great if playboy didnt exist.

I still got tons left to read for Rutgers. Ack!!! These people sent me a textbook. That is what it is...a textbook. ack!! LOL

Last weekend I went to Hershey Park with the fam. it was tons of fun. I rode rides that were awesome and got tons of free chocolate. That park is huge. We didn't get to see everything, which sucks.

In other news....I have started to pack. JOY... I have been reading things, but not my stuff for Rutgers, oops. Ah well. I shall say more tomorrow, maybe.

Sooo...I have to work tomorrow!! That is not a big deal. I mean, work is work. It's just that tomorrow is when the sixth Harry Potter book comes out. Now while the fans of the book are totally excited and should be (I mean fans should be excited about this sort of thing) it really is not so much fun for people who will actually have to work in bookstores and sell the thing. There are gonna be crowds and stuff and lines. I gotta smile and deal with all those crazed people. One after another after another after another after antoher after another after another after another after another after another after another. I don't know how I am gonna be able to deal with all of that craziness for eight hours. liek zong harry potter is serious business!!! lmao. This rant has been provided to you for the sake of Court and Amy...The makers of the latest nervous twitch I have developed.

So it has been quite some time since I last updated.  So interesting things have happened which I would like to tell you about.  So I got a job at BooksAMillion here in the city.  I like it.  It is a ton of fun most of the time.  Other times customers are rude and coworkers and managers can be a bit testy which can make a great day get demoted to being just good.  Getting paid is quite nice.  The other job that I have is here on campus and it is dull and boring.  The people running the program are not organized and it drives me nuts.  Every day it is the same ole story and every day it makes me want to frown.  Oh well.  Regardless of how idiotic the system is, it is still allowing me to have free housing for the summer for minimal effort. 

I miss everyone tons!!  Sometimes I wish I was back in good ole shreveport and then I remember that no one else is really in good ole shreveport this summer anyhow and then I am glad that I am not there sitting on my ass and bickering with my mother.

I do spend dome time sitting on my ass here in the city though not as much as in summers previous.  This is primarilly because of the fact that I am working.  I also have done some shopping, but nothing outlandish or outrageous.  When I am sitting on my ass I am most likely reading.  The mission is to read 10,000 (ten thousand) pages this summer.  I still have 7,000+ pages to go.  In my next update I'll give the current lists of what I have read and what I plan to read.  I was motivated to this lofty goal because I realized that I have not read enough in my lifetime.  There are so many great works that I have not been exposed to and I know that my university is not gonna expose them to me.  So I have taken things into my own hands and plan to read some great classics and some contemporary works that are all the rage.

Besides that, I am gearing up for the Summer Institute in Diversity in Philosophy at Rutgers.  From the 31st of July to the 7th of August i'll be in NJ in deep philosophical conversation with 12 other students from around the nation.  The program is highly selective and I am psyched that I got chosen to go.  I have made my flight reservations and all i gotta do now is the readings and pack.

Anywhoo...thats whats goin on right now.  I'll tell you all more as it develops.  Peace to everyone!!!!

I am finished!!! It is all finally over. I just emailed and printed my last papers for the semester.  Those were the last assignments that I had!!  This means that my semester is finally and completely over.  All that stuff on my list has been completed. 

All I gotta do now is find a job and get a new Social Security Card cuz the old one got lost.  That's it.  Oh and pack.  No more school work for me though. HEEE HEEE!!

I don't think I have ever been THIS happy about the end of the semester!  I get to read Terry Goodkind stuff that I have negelected.  Here is my summer reading list

YO!  I thank all those who were supportive during this semester.  A lot of shit definitely went down.  To all those who tried to bring me down,  you should consider doin something else with your life because you definitely did not succeed in preventing my stellar success.

 

I gotta go sell some books so I can have some moolah and so I don't have to think about where I am gonna put them when I am packing.

Anywayz...on to brighter subjects:

I have two weeks to take total control of my life.  I got three papers due on the sixth of May along with three finals that week and this other paper due on the 3rd.  It averages to like 8-9 pages a paper.  I still got two large novels to read!  It is crazy, but I shall survive (just as long as no one seeks to add drama to my life) [actually i can survive it all so bring it on if you wanna be a punk ass].

Since that really wasn't a brighter subject...

Mr. Procrastination and I are getting a divorce.  I have kicked him out of my dorm room and tossed all his shit and relatives out of the window.  He's all yours Court, but I still say Mr. Productivity is a very tender lover, and we can all share.  (stop laughing or you'll blow out a kidney, and you need those things)
